- **Light:** Strelitzia reginae thrives in bright, indirect sunlight. It can tolerate some direct morning or late afternoon sun, but avoid harsh midday rays which may scorch the leaves. A position near a south- or west-facing window is ideal. - **Watering:** Keep the soil consistently moist during the growing season (spring to early autumn), watering when the top 2–3 cm of soil feels dry. Reduce watering in winter, allowing the soil to dry out slightly between waterings to prevent root rot. - **Soil:** Use a well-draining, fertile potting mix rich in organic matter. A combination of standard potting soil with added perlite or coarse sand ensures good drainage. - **Temperature:** Prefers warm conditions between 18–25°C (65–77°F). Protect from temperatures below 10°C (50°F), as the plant is sensitive to cold and frost. - **Humidity:** Moderate to high humidity is beneficial. If the indoor air is dry, especially in winter, increase humidity by misting the leaves regularly or placing the pot on a humidity tray. - **Feeding:** Feed with a balanced liquid fertiliser every two weeks during the active growing season (spring and summer).
